free floating, cleat hung ceramic sculpture; mixture of glazed clay and stained paper clay elements
Not only do human activities directly alter physical aspects of landscapes, but they are also result in human artifacts being left in those same landscapes. This sculpture will remind the viewer that human artifacts will continue to be found throughout those same landscapes for many centuries to come. Societal decisions are not short-termed. The “old news” in this piece was created utilizing newspaper printing press blocks from the 1930’s.
