Pit-fired Ceramic Sculptures

Pit-firing pottery has had a long tradition. My goal however, has been to move past this tradition and explore new directions by produce painterly ceramic panels. These are not only enhanced with the colours of pit-firing but also with the addition of textural and sculptural embellishments.
